Privacy policy
Last updated 22/10/2026
This policy explains how Stoqro (“Stoqro”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit this website or use the Stoqro app. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
Stoqro is an online service that helps businesses keep track of their equipment and its test & tag. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
When you contact us
If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the phone number, business name and message you choose to give us. To stop spam, we also count how many forms are sent from each network address.
When your business uses Stoqro
- Office logins: name, email address, a password (stored only in a scrambled form we can't read back), and, if you turn it on, the secret for your two-step sign-in.
- Field staff: the name the office gives each person, and a 4-digit PIN stored only in a scrambled form. We also keep the kind of phone and browser used (for example “iPhone · Safari”) so the office can see which phones are set up.
- Records about equipment and work: items, places, jobs (which may include an address or a client name the business adds), who moved what and when, and test & tag records, including the tester's name and any licence details entered.
- Location, only if someone chooses: staff can tap “Use my location” when adding a new job, which saves that spot on the job. We never track where people are.
- Technical information: like most websites, our servers record network addresses and browser details when pages are requested, to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- to run the service for your business and the people in it,
- to send the emails the service needs, such as invitations, password resets, security notices and test & tag reminders,
- to reply to you when you contact us, and to help when you ask for support,
- to keep Stoqro secure, including stopping spam and repeated wrong passwords or PINs, and
- to invoice your business for its plan.
We don't sell personal information, we don't use it for advertising, and Stoqro doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. See our cookie policy.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run Stoqro: hosting and email delivery. They handle information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Where it's kept
Stoqro is hosted in Australia.
How we protect it
Each business's records are sealed off from every other business's in the database itself. More detail is on our security page.
Information our customers add
Businesses using Stoqro decide what goes in it, such as their staff names and job addresses. We hold that information on the business's behalf and use it only to provide the service. If you're a member of a business's staff and have a question about your information, you can ask that business or us.
How long we keep it
We keep a business's records while it uses Stoqro. If a business closes its account, we keep its records for 90 days, so it can change its mind or ask for an export. After that, we delete them if the business asks us to.
Messages sent with our contact form are deleted 12 months after we've dealt with them, or straight away if you ask us to. The counts we keep to stop spam, by network address, are deleted after 2 days.
Seeing and correcting it
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected]. Office users can reset their own password at any time, a business's office can correct its staff and equipment records, and its owner can export all of them.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle personal information, email us and we'll respond as soon as we can. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
